Our Men's A & C teams have progressed to their respective Intermediate & Junior B quarter finals.
The Men's A team got off to a very bad start against the host county Kerry, losing 14-7. The team just couldn't get any momentum going which is crucial in the 1 frame format. The second match got off to a similar start, but when we were almost down and out v Wexford B, from 11-5 behind, we started to find some gears and we got back on terms but ultimately we got over the line on a deciding frame winning 14-13. Following that, we absolutely floored a Meath B team with a 14-5 scoreline. Then came our last group game against Down B, the group leaders. They needed 10 frames from us to finish to top, but our guys played some brilliant pool to win 14-9, which put us on top of the group by 1 single frame. The players are in fine form and looking forward to our Quarter final encounter against Kildare A on Saturday afternoon.
Westmeath Men's C have also qualified.

Won the first game 14-10 vs Wicklow C. Was 13-11 down to Kildare C and narrowly lost out in a last frame decider 14-13. Could have easily went our way if they hadn't fluked two blacks. Followed that up with a great win against Donegal D 14-9. Lost our last game to Fermanagh B 14-12 but that was enough to claim second in the group on frame difference.
Westmeath men’s B* weren't so fortunate but went very close to winning all their matches.
